I undertook academic training as a Clinical Assistant Professor, School of Medicine, University of Nottingham, from 2016-2018. In 2021 I was appointed an Honorary Clinical Associate Professor, School of Medicine, University of Nottingham.
I completed my PhD thesis in 2020 on “Patient-maintained propofol sedation for patients undergoing elective primary lower limb arthroplasty”.
As either Principal or Co-Investigator I have been awarded funding to support research from the National Institute for Health (i4i and Research for Patient Benefit streams), Medical Research Council, as well as Nottingham Hospitals Charity.
I undertake external peer review for scientific journals including the British Journal of Anaesthesia, Anesthesia and Analgesia and the British Journal of Anaesthesia Education.
